For our first activity, we will watch the following two movie clips. Pay attention to the differences you see in characterization, theme, and most importantly language. After watching the clips, please write a short response to each clip, based on the following questions:
1. What difference does it make when you use different varieties of a language?
2. How were characters portrayed in both versions? Were there differences, similarities?
